The external VSTs I'd like to use - the ones from Reaper- always crash Sound Forge, but they don't crash Audacity and Ocenaudio. The included essential effects like EQ and compressor are still the same as they were in the 90s and that's just not good enough in 2021 when most competitors feature visual display of what is being done to the waveform. I used to have older versions of Sound Forge and I'm surprised at how little it has changed over the decades. Every online guide for mastering within Sound Forge mostly focuses on Ozone, as it is usually included. Of course you can't expect that for the price, but the alternatives for mastering within Sound Forge are poorly documented, if they even exist at all. Once again the really useful stuff - Ozone Elements - is not included. I do already have my own tool set, which mostly consists of Reaper and an occasional free audio editor like Audacity or Ocenaudio, but I thought at least Sound Forge would be nice to have. So I bought this bundle and just got around to playing with some of the included stuff and I must say I'm really underwhelmed. Stay away from any producer cooperation that makes you inprisoned in their business plan. I advise everyone to get something that works standalone and gets the job done for one simple task at a time.
